Regulation
Gruviona operates within the regulatory framework of the United Kingdom governing services related to digital assets and cryptocurrencies, including applicable consumer-protection, data-protection and dispute-resolution requirements.
| Jurisdiction | Regulator | Registration / regulatory basis |
|---|---|---|
| United Kingdom — consumer protection | FCA framework (Financial Conduct Authority) | Complies with applicable UK consumer-protection, identity-verification and complaint-handling requirements for technology and information services provided to UK users. |
| United Kingdom — data protection | ICO (Information Commissioner's Office) | Complies with applicable UK data-protection requirements for the personal data processed on this site. |
| United Kingdom — dispute resolution | Financial Ombudsman Service | Complies with recognised UK dispute-resolution practice: complaints that cannot be resolved directly may be escalated by clients through recognised UK dispute-resolution channels. |
Regulation does not eliminate investment risk and does not guarantee profit. Digital assets are subject to market volatility and other risks described in our risk disclosure.
Operational compliance areas
Beyond the regulatory basis above, these are the compliance practices applied across the platform every day.
| Area | Applied practice |
|---|---|
| Identity verification (KYC) | Every new account is verified against government-issued identification before trading activity begins. |
| Data protection | Personal data is processed in line with applicable UK data-protection requirements, with encryption in transit and at rest. |
| Client fund handling | Deposits and withdrawals are processed through regulated UK payment channels with clear timelines and no platform fees. |
| Complaint handling | A documented complaints procedure with defined response times and escalation to recognised UK dispute-resolution channels. |
| Operational transparency | Fees, spreads and processing times are disclosed before a transaction is confirmed, and account activity is fully logged. |
Transparency in regulation
Gruviona maintains the registrations, permissions and compliance procedures required for the services it provides in each relevant jurisdiction. Where a service is delivered together with a licensed counterparty, that counterparty's details are confirmed to you directly during onboarding, before any transaction takes place.
If you want to verify anything you read on this site, including our regulatory basis, write to [email protected]. Verification requests are handled by Client Support & Compliance, and we would always rather answer a direct question than leave one unanswered.
Complaints that we cannot resolve directly can be escalated by clients through recognised UK dispute-resolution channels, including the Financial Ombudsman Service. The full procedure, with timelines, is set out on the complaints page.
