Fraud warning

We take every report and suspicion of fraudulent activity seriously. From time to time we identify companies and websites that use our name, or names close to ours, without permission. This page exists so you can tell the real Gruviona from an imitation before you share anything sensitive.

Why this notice exists

Imitation is a recognised pattern in financial services: a clone firm copies a trusted brand's name, logo and website style, then contacts people with offers, account openings or "security checks" that lead to payments or data going to the imitator. We publish this notice because the damage happens fast, usually before the victim has any reason to be suspicious, and because forewarning is the only reliable defence. The existence of clone firms is not something we can fully control or prevent; what we can do is tell you exactly how the genuine service behaves, so that a deviation from that behaviour is visible to you immediately.

Clone firms

If you suspect you are dealing with a company using the Gruviona brand, name or logo without permission, do not share any personal information with it and notify us at once by email. We work continuously to identify clone firms, and we underline honestly that some remain undetected for a period of time. Clients should always verify the legitimacy of any company they deal with online, before sharing personal data or beginning any business relationship. Check the website address character by character: our pages are served from the gruviona.org domain. Look-alike domains with extra words, hyphens or substitute letters are the single most common tell.

What the real Gruviona will never do

We will never ask you for your account password, a one-time code from your bank or authentication app, or your full card number, in an email, a phone call or a chat message. We will never ask you to move your money to a "safe account", a personal bank account or a wallet that is not yours, for any reason whatsoever. We will never pressure you to deposit quickly to keep a place, a rate or a bonus that expires in minutes. Genuine verification requests happen inside the platform after you have logged in, not through links in urgent messages. Any of these asks is, on its own, proof you are not talking to us.

Known limits of our responsibility

We are aware of cases where our name and personal details of individuals have been misused for fraudulent purposes that we can neither influence nor control. While we sincerely regret the financial losses suffered by anyone affected, our company is not liable for fraudulent operations carried out in our name by third parties. That is precisely why this page asks you to be careful before it happens rather than after.

What to do if you suspect fraud

Stop the conversation, do not send money or documents, and write to [email protected] with the details: the website address, the phone number or email that contacted you, and what was asked of you. If you have already made a payment to a suspected clone, contact your bank immediately the same day, report the matter to Action Fraud, the UK's national fraud reporting service, and keep every message the fraudsters sent. If someone approached you claiming to be from Gruviona, our team can confirm in minutes whether the approach was genuine.
